We will invite our Georgia Milestones high achievers and our PBIS 2RC Champions to a NBES Movie Matinee. We will travel to Valdosta Cinemas May 24th to celebrate these students' accomplishments. Invitations and permission slips will be sent out accordingly.


We hope you had a relaxing Spring Break! Brooks County Schools will reopen tomorrow.


All schools and offices in the Brooks County School District will be closed April 4 through April 8 for Spring Break. We will reopen on Monday - April 11.


NBES Field Day 2022 is tomorrow! We will have games from 9:00-11:30. Please wear athletic shoes, t-shirt, and shorts, apply sunblock before your leave home, and bring a change of clothes due to field conditions. You can wear hats tomorrow, and there will be a water station so water bottles are not necessary. And remember your money for the Snack Shack! We are looking forward to an EPIC Field Day Adventure!


Save the Date: NBES will host 3 Saturday Sessions on 4/16, 4/23, and 4/31 for grades 3rd-5th in preparation for the Georgia Milestones Assessment. The sessions will run from 9:00-12:00 and focus on ELA and Math. Sign-up flyers will go home with students when we return from Spring Break. Thank you!

Due to the expected continuation of inclement weather expected during after school hours, ECHOES will be cancelled TODAY (WEDNESDAY - MARCH 23. ECHOES students will ride their normal buses home.

The tradition is back! We are so excited about our Annual Family Dance, happening TOMORROW from 5:00-7:00. All of our students and family members are invited to join us in the NBES gym for some family fun!
ENTRY and PARKING: Please park in the side/bus ramp lot, and enter through the cafeteria corridor. This will be the only open entrance. Follow the signs to the fun!

NBES: Brooks County Schools will dismiss school early on Friday at 2:00, December 17th, due to the Brooks County State Championship parade! The parade will take place on Court Street at 5:00.
Busses and car riders will be dismissed at 2:00 p.m. All students should be picked no later than 2:15. No early check-outs will be allowed after 1:15 p.m.

Congratulations to our NBES Spelling Bee Champions! Christian O'Leary is our Spelling Bee winner and Max Castillo is the Runner Up. They will be competing in January at our system-wide Spelling Bee competition. Great job by all the contestants!

NBES Reminder: Starting tomorrow, Monday, November 29th , we will move afternoon car rider pick up to the front of the school. The buses will drop off and pick up on the side of the school (bus ramps), and car riders will drop off and pick up on the front of the school. Please review the map to see the changes. Thank you for your patience as we make this shift!


NBES will hold Jump Rope for Heart Wednesday and Thursday! Kinder and 1st and 4th and 5th grades will jump on Wednesday, and 2nd and 3rd grades will jump on Thursday! Remember, you must have a signed permission slip to participate. Wear comfy shoes, and bring a water bottle. We can't wait for a fun day as we fundraise for the American Heart Association!
