NBES will host a 5th grade Lunch and Learn Monday, March 11th, from 11:45-12:50. Please return the flyer, or Dojo a 5th grade teacher to reserve your spot. Lunch must be prepaid by Friday, 3/8. We look forward to seeing our 5th grade families!



NBES will take spring and class pictures tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6th. Flyers went home last week with online ordering information.

Save the Date! NBES will provide Saturday study sessions on 3/9, 3/16 and 3/23 for 3rd through 5th grades in preparation for the Georgia Milestones. Flyers will go home next week!

Brooks County Schools will be closed on Monday, January 15, 2024 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will resume our normal schedule on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.


Our Trojans' safety is our top priority. After careful consideration of the weather forecasts and recommendations from local authorities, there will be no school on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, due to the threat of inclement weather. We look forward to our Trojans returning on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.


NBES: Please join us for our Winter AR Family Reading Time on Thursday, January 11th, from 3:00-5:00. The library will be open for students to read and take AR tests. Students who meet the1st-3rd AR goals by Jan. 12th will be invited to the nuggets/extra recess party!

NBES: Our Charleston Wrap fundraiser has been extended to September 29th! You still have plenty of time to sell and turn in your envelopes. Students get one ticket for every item sold, and each ticket gets a chance to win the giant plush Slow Pokey. The class that sells the most gets Chick-Fil-A, and the teacher will receive a $100 gift card! Thank you so much for supporting our NBES PTA!

NBES: We are looking forward to our Grandparents Day lunch Wednesday, 9/13. All guests should park and enter the building on the side of the building. We will have our Scholastic book fair, school store, and a check out table set up near the media center.


Are you interested in being an active member of the NBES decision making process? School Council may be the place for you. We meet 4 times per year to discuss attendance, PBIS, academics, planning, events, and many other school related topics. One of our members has come to the end of their term and we would like to elect a new parent member to take their place.
Please email rlee@brooks.k12.ga.us, or call 229-588-2344 if you would like to be nominated for the school council. We will hold a vote during our next meeting September 18th, 2023. All meetings are open to the public.


NBES: The Scholastic Book Fair begins Monday, 9/11 and ends Friday, 9/15. It will open daily in the media center from 7:30-12:00, and we will take cash, cards, and e-wallet payment. Don't miss this chance to buy your favorite books and reading goodies!


NBES: Our grandparents lunch is still on for Wednesday, September 13th. We have extended the deadline for forms and lunch payment to Thursday, September 7th. Our book fair and school store will be open on the 13th for our guests to visit!
