Each semester, Valdosta State University recognizes the invaluable role of mentor educators who guide and inspire the next generation of teachers. Students enrolled in the Dewar College of Education and Human Services are invited to nominate educators who have made a significant and positive impact on their journey toward teacher certification.
This semester, Mr. Holden Staten, an art teacher at Quitman Elementary School, nominated Mrs. Angie Tillman, the gifted coordinator at Quitman Elementary, for the prestigious Outstanding Mentor Educator Award.
