We welcome you and your family to our award winning school system. Below are instructions on how to register your child(ren) in our school system.
What to Bring?
Parents, or Legal Guardians, will need to bring the following documents to register their child(ren) for school.
Birth Certificate |
Social Security Card (Waiver forms available) |
Georgia Immunization (Form #3231) |
Eye, Ear, Dental, and Nutritional Certificate (completed by the Brooks County Health Department or your child's doctor - Form #3300) |
Proof of Residence (rental agreement, mortgage statement, or utility bill - must show parent's name and street address, not a P.O. Box) |
To register your child for Pre-Kindergarten:
Pre-K children must be four (4) years old on or before September 1 to be registered. Parent(s)/Guardian(s) may come to the Brooks County Schools Early Learning Center located at 1081 Barwick Road to begin the registration process. Acceptance in the Pre-K program is on a first come, first served basis. Enrollment is OPEN and NON-DISCRIMINATORY. It is not necessary to bring your child to registration. To register your child for Kindergarten through Grade 12:
Children must be 5 on or before September 1 for Kindergarten. Children who are enrolled in or completed the Brooks County Schools Pre-K Program do not need to register for Kindergarten.
Parents/guardians may come to the J.H. Wells Center to pick up a folder in advance to begin the registration process. Registration documents may also be downloaded HERE and completed before visiting the Registration Office. It is not necessary to bring your child to registration.
Due to COVID19, parents/guardians are encouraged to complete packets at home and return them to the Registration Office as soon as possible.
During the school year in order to complete the registration process and allow staff adequate time to process paperwork prior to closing, all parents should arrive prior to 2:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday or 12:00.p.m. on Friday in order for the enrollment process to be completed.
