Agriculture Club

My name is Ms. Atkinson, and I serve as the Quitman Elementary School Agricultural Teacher. This year, we will be working on creating raised garden beds. We will plant flowers and vegetables. We will be meeting one time a month from 3:15 to 4:00 PM until Spring. We will meet twice a month during the months of March, April, and May. The students in the club will be added to a Class Tag account where more information will be shared. All materials will be provided to students, such as shovels, rakes, and gardening gloves. I ask you to please be available to pick your child up on Ag Club days by 4:00 PM. Failure to pick your child up on time can result in removal from the club. Please take note that your child must be in the 3rd through 5th grade to be considered due to the nature of our club this year. A total of 10 students will be chosen. Let’s make our school fun and bright!

Requirements - Students must submit a short essay explaining why he/she would like to join the Ag Club. - Students will need to submit the bottom of an application form attached to the short essay. IMPORTANT DATES - Applications must be submitted no later than September 1st. - Ag Club members will be announced by September 8th . - First Ag Club meeting will be Tuesday, September 26th .
