Brooks County High School recognized the Student Services employees during National Education and Nurses Week. Nurse Williams makes sure our students are physically ready, Mr. Law makes sure our students are emotionally ready and Mrs. Stone makes sure our students are mentally ready for college and career plans. BCHS wanted to bring these "behind the scenes educators" to the front as we celebrated the week.
Brooks County High School honored teachers last week during Teacher Appreciation Week. Teachers were treated to breakfast in a cup, ice cream, popcorn and strawberry lemonaid, and Chic-Fil-A lunch (sponsored by Student Government). Drawings were held each day for gifts. Teachers were allowed to relax and wear jeans for the week and leave a few minutes early each day. Our teachers work hard and we appreciate them at BCHS!

We will begin Georgia Milestone Testing on May 9, 2023 with American Literature. Be sure to get plenty of rest, arrive on time and stop by to get breakfast at school. Check out the info graphic for the testing schedule. The faculty and staff know that you'll bring that hammer and do your best. Good luck Trojans!
One missing skill of many young adults is the ability to sign their name in cursive. Older adults joke that cursive writing is the "secret language" of prior generations. It is no joke that the students in Mrs. Snow's new "Start UP Entrepreneurship" CTAE Pathway are breaking the code and learning to sign their names in cursive. The students are learning about the importance of signing official documents. Mrs. Zinda McDaniel, Mayor of Quitman and Healthcare Science Teacher, visited the class to share the importance of signatures and how many official documents she has to sign from the Quitman Mayor's office. And...who knows one of these signatures might just be famous one day! #bestofbrooks #CTAEdelivers
BCHS kicked off Teacher Appreciation Week on Monday, May 8th with "Breakfast in a Cup" from administration. The cups were delivered to teachers. A drawing was held for gifts. Our teachers are the best! #bestofbrooks
