Seniors, All scholarship applications we receive will be posted at https://tinyurl.com/BCHS2025 Please check this page weekly. The scholarships are placed in folders by the month they are due. Open the document and see if you qualify for the scholarship. Complete the scholarship, print and return to Mrs. Devereaux by the date listed at the end of the scholarship file extension by 3 PM. Example: scholarship03_02_25.pdf This scholarship is due to Mrs. Devereaux by March 2, 2025 by 3 PM. If the scholarship file has DUE IN PORTAL, that scholarship must be submitted on line to the sponsor. These do not need to be turned into Mrs. Devereaux as the applicant MUST submit them. Dates in the scholarship are the dates due to the scholarship award foundations. Feel free to send them to the foundations, but if you want the school to submit them, they MUST be to Mrs. Devereaux by the extension file date. Mrs. Devereaux will submit and keep a copy of those submitted. Late scholarships will not be accepted. Happy Scholarship Hunting!

BCHS ECHOES will have a parent registration tomorrow (Wednesday, January 29, 2025) at 4:00 pm in the media center to enroll students in ECHOES. Also, there will be an Advisory Council meeting for 21st CCLC ECHOES on Feb. 5th at 4:30 pm in the media center. All stakeholders are invited. Please make plans to attend.

Attention Seniors February 1st is the last chance to order a Cap & Gown at discount prices. All graduating seniors participating in graduation must have a 2025 BCHS Cap, Gown and Tassel.

📢 School Closure Update 📢 Due to freezing temperatures again overnight affecting the melting snow and ice, making travel unsafe for our buses, students, and staff, Brooks County Schools will remain closed on Friday, January 24th. Our team will be out over the weekend checking the structural integrity of our awnings, sidewalks and walkways to ensure our campuses are safe for students and staff. The ice that is melting will continue to gather on our sidewalks and parking lot and will refreeze again tonight. Many of the roads in our county are still questionable as to whether they are passable for buses. ❄️ We appreciate your patience and understanding as safety remains our top priority. Normal schedules will resume on Monday, January 27th. Stay warm, stay safe, and enjoy your extended snow break! ⛄️✨

🚨 Weather Update for Brooks County Schools 🚨 Our BCSD Emergency Management team has been working with local emergency and public safety officials and Georgia Emergency Management Agency to monitor the unprecedented impending winter weather event. Due to the impending winter weather, we are making the following schedule changes: ❄️ Tuesday, Jan. 21: Early release at 2:00 PM ⏳ | All after-school activities canceled ❄️ Wednesday, Jan. 22: Schools & extracurricular activities canceled Our Emergency Management team is closely monitoring the situation. A decision for Thursday will be made as conditions develop. We will continue to monitor the weather and keep you updated with any changes.⛄

Good morning, Brooks County! While the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for, we are so proud of our Trojan football team for an incredible season and for making it all the way to the State Championship game against Bowdon. Your hard work, determination, and resilience have made us all proud. We want to give a huge shoutout to our coaches for their leadership, our band for bringing the energy, our cheerleaders for their unwavering spirit, and to all of our fans for showing up and showing out all season long. Trojan pride runs deep, and today we celebrate you—our team, our school, and our community. We are Brooks County, and WE ARE PROUD! Let’s keep our heads high and our hearts full. Go Trojans!
