Every student attending Brooks County Middle School will be assigned to an academic team. Each team will consist of teachers who will teach the five academic areas- math, reading, language arts, science, and social studies. With the flexibility allowed by the middle school concept, teachers will have the opportunity to group students throughout the year as necessary to meet the needs of the students on their team.
An integral part of the middle school concept, connection classes offer students the opportunity to try a variety of different classes before entering high school. Brooks County Middle School offers each grade level the opportunity to take classes in business, agriculture, music, drama, and audio visual technology. Physical Education and Health will also be taught at this level. Connections classes change every nine weeks.
We also offer our 8th grade TORCH students the opportunity to earn High School credits in the following areas: Team Sports, Basic Agriculture, and Enhanced Algebra.
